L-O-V-E

The only thing we Locketts love more than Nutella and musicals is snow.  Last Sunday night we received a wonderful gift!

We didn't get a whole snow day on Monday, but were thankful for a 10:00 start.  Josh was able to use his fancy new snow shovel from Sarah and Brandon.  It worked perfectly and cleared a safe path for us to back out of the driveway.

Of course there were some snowball-throwing shenanigans.

We absolutely

love the snow.

The snow and ice were still thawing out on Tuesday morning - causing spooky freezing fog to loom until early afternoon on Valentine's Day.

On our very first Valentine's Day as a married couple Josh cooked an amazing dinner for us.  After dinner we watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and ate our weight in chocolate.  It's a tradition we've continued every year.  Last year we included Ava in the festivities and it was even more fun.  She loves the fancy candlelight.

This year we actually started the movie during dinner, just to make sure our new school girl got plenty of rest.

On Wednesday morning Ava completed her first-ever homework assignment.

It was an All About Me poster.  Somehow she made it out of the house without me snapping a picture of her holding the poster. I'll make sure to get a shot of it when she brings it home from school.

Josh is enjoying his afternoons at home with Ava.  On Thursday they made a lemon tart - delicious.

On Friday Ava wore her fancy Cinderella dress to school.

They were hosting a wedding for Q and U.

Ava and her friends blew bubbles to set the mood.

So serious about their job.

I almost died when I saw the veils.

Adorable.

They even had Canon in D playing on the CD player.

The whole wedding party

See the boy holding U?

Ava is slightly in love with him.  The other night she told me, "He asked me to not follow him anymore, but it's easy when he's in time out.  Oooh, I just want to play with that boy!"
Josh wants to have a chat with Mr. U.

And of course, the wedding cake.

The sweet little wedding was the perfect love-filled ending to a week of Valentine fun.  On Friday I experienced a new amazing part of my dreamy job - calling to tell people they are admitted to law school. I was giddy for the rest of the day.  They were so thankful and excited.  It's impossible not to be happy with a job like this.  I. Am. So. Thankful.

*Coming soon:  an entire post of Ava-isms and a tour of my office.  Thanks to everyone who actually reads these little posts.  You are all my "lucky pennies" as Phoebe from Friends would say:)

I love that the male teacher (??? I'm thinking he's a teacher, anyway...) wore the tuxedo shirt. That's pure awesomeness. :-)

Looking forward to a post of Ava-isms.

What a cute idea, marrying Q and U. Thanks for the Friends reference. I was watching reruns the other day, thank you Nick @ Night, and it was the one where Rachel looked at Joey and said, "You're so pretty." I still love and use that saying all the time. It is the perfect kind way to say, "You dingbat!" Can't wait to see pictures of your office.
