The dramatic fall colors are even richer at the beginning of November.
Our makeshift art studio
Ava runs through this huge leaf pile every day. On Saturday we finally took the time to take pictures.

How's that workin' for ya'?
When we first moved into this small space I knew that organization was key. I arranged my nice-sized pantry carefully. However, as we settled in and real life happened the system wasn't working. Each time I opened the door, whether I was cooking or putting away groceries, it was a hassle. We've lived here since July. It's November. That's four months of struggle. I wasted precious minutes each time I opened the door.
On Friday night I had ENOUGH. Josh took over bedtime routine with Ava, and I put Fiddler on the Roof on my laptop. Everything came out of the pantry and was then meticulously moved back inside. As I sang along with Tradition, If I Were a Rich Man, and Tevia's Dream (in true, "whistle while you work" fashion) my pantry was transformed.
It finally makes sense. It's efficient, my very favorite word in the whole world.

So here's my challenge to you. Find your 'cluttered pantry' and fix it. Dig in your heels, duck your chin to your chest, and make it yours. You'll be amazed how much easier your life will be once you've slayed your inefficiency dragon. Put on your favorite musical and sing through the task you've been dreading. You can do it!
Comment here with your own efficient success. I'd love to hear about it.

I did the same thing to our pantry while I was pregnant. My nesting instinct was strong...none of the house went untouched. :-)
Still looking for that success story in a home that is suddenly too big for just me! I have things spread out all over the house. Trying to pull it all together... The pantry is not the problem as much as the 1,000 Post-It notes that I leave all over. Trying to contain all paper work to the office. What a concept!
(Loved Tulsa and autumn last weekend. Ava is precious.)
I would need a pantry first ;-) I think I have been as creative as I can be and with six mouths to feed the cabinets never seem to be full. My solution.....build a house with a pantry (a really big pantry). God has blessed us in so many ways and we are a closer family, I feel because of our cozy living quarters, but I am so looking forward to the blessing of a new home with more than one potty and a pantry that I must organize!
Our pantry is going to be my weekend project! When we moved in everything that we were able to pack and bring with us went straight in there without any organization. It's driving me nuts now! Thanks for the inspiration!!
The fall colors are beautiful! Believe it or not, Texas is beginning to look colorful too! With all the rain everthing is much more vibrant! Ava looks beautiful in the leaves. Josh looks like he enjoyed the painting time with the girl! Speaking of the pantry, I need to do the same. Our pantry doesn't house as many food items as before. So, some rearrangement is required in the near future! Love you all!!
